Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our Year 5 teaching staff on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week. This temporary position commences on Monday 2nd November (immediately after the autumn half-term break) and runs through to 30th July.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative Year 5 team and receive close, ongoing support and mentorship from an experienced member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
• Foster an encouraging, enthusiastic, and positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Collaborate closely with job-share colleagues, teaching assistants, and subject leaders.
• Maintain effective, compassionate communication with parents, carers, and external support services.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven record as an outstanding practitioner.
