Three vacancies have arisen at Northway Community Primary School for temporary Teaching Assistants to support pupils working 1:1. The roles are for two pupils moving into Reception from September 2026 and the third pupil will be in Year One.

All of the pupils have differing learning needs and require support to access the curriculum. The people appointed will be also provide targeted support linked to the pupils’ SEND learning plans.

The positions are from 1st September 2026 and are initially funded until 31st August 2027 the first instance.

The Governors of Northway Primary School would like to appoint enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants who are:

The posts are both for 30 hours. The working hours are Mondays to Fridays (8.45am-3.15pm) with half an hour unpaid lunch. The positions are term time only and the salary will be pro-rata.

Due to the nature of work the post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
