Science Technician required as soon as possible

NJC Scale E  SCP 7-11

36 hours a week term time plus 2 weeks

Actual salary ranging from £21,564.00 to £23,559.00 (subject to Job Evaluation)

This popular, oversubscribed school is seeking to a Science Technician to coordinate the use of practical science resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the Science curriculum which involves both GCSE, and post 16 qualifications.  The successful candidate will become part of a friendly and supportive Science department and work alongside the other Science Technician in school.

Maricourt is committed to the safeguarding of its students.  Enhanced due to the nature of the work, the post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidate must be able to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure (via the Criminal Records Bureau) in order to be appointed to the post.  Due diligence  and social media checks will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process.
