Qualified Teacher for PPA cover

The Headteacher and Governors of St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary School in Lydiate are seeking appoint a highly effective and inspirational Qualified Teacher for PPA cover across the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. The successful candidate would be welcomed into our highly supportive, friendly and hardworking school family, who are all committed to providing a nurturing and aspirational learning environment for all. The post is intended to be fulfilled across one full day and four afternoons; this could be negotiated with the successful candidate. The total working hours will be 18 hours over 4 afternoons and one full day (10% PPA time inclusive). This post would be fixed term for 1 year with an opportunity for extension, dependant on successful school funding application and performance reviews. 

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
• Be committed to and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school
• Hold the Catholic Teaching Certificate (CCRS) or commit to completing it when in post
• Be a highly effective classroom teacher who cares deeply about children’s educational experience; their learning, holistic development and progress
• Have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour
• Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Framework and Key Stage 1 Curriculum, with the ability to deliver this creatively
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of our dedicated and successful team
• Ideally have experience of teaching and learning within Early Years and Key Stage 1
